Coffinhunter
Zodiac is still too young to be blowing his coat, but I want to be prepared. The pet store is recommending a really expensive comb/brush. (Furinator?). Is that necessary, or will another brush work? I don't micNd spending the money, but don't want to be wasteful either. BingBlaze n Skyla
I don't like furminator's I've heard they cut the guard hairs , I use a mikki undercoat rake on mine it gets all the fur out and isn't expensive either
qweasd
Sky hates the unbranded rake. He will go to sleep while being brushed with the Furminator.
mydiamond
I got an undercoat rake as well. Each to their own I guess.
jmscott
· Hidden Hidden Siberians shoiuld not be brushed using a furminator. We recommend undercoat rakes, metal combs, slicker brushes, and a good force dryer. Link to comment
Joey.Zarly
As said above re furminators ... I agree that they shouldn't be used on sibes..or any double coated breed for that matter. I use a metal comb on mine and line brush the coat like this...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isLwAnL0YLk
robke
I am in the undercoat rake camp. Furminator will make my 2 RUN for it....

Emma
The mikki anti tangle rake is a good one. i've got both the furminator and a rake and tbh I use the rake on the dogs and the furminator to remove fur from the carpet, lol. Both of mine hate the furminator with a passion.
