Stormy
My mum bought this for my nan many years ago it was a present from her and my dad at the time. My nan has given it to me so it lives in my living room now. Needs some work doing to it as the part the pendulum goes on is broken i have got in contact with the people that specialise in this make of clock as the company no longer exists! As i have no clue how these work!

Mazz
Very nice clock. Hope they get it working for you. The chiming may, at first, seem like it will disturb you at sleep, but you get used to that pretty quickly.
Stormy
Yeah sure I'd get used to it
qweasd
My parents have had a very similar (if not identical) clock since I was a child. We easily slept through the chiming, and, more importantly, all the dogs also learnt to sleep through it as well (and they often slept in the same room as the clock). Austinville
Good luck in finding a repair person. A friend of mine was on a waiting list for two years to have hers fixed. Then was finally contacted that the guy was giving it up due to his age. She still can't find another repair person....... I have a clock that plays the Westminster Chimes..........not my grandparents, but I loved theirs so that I had to have one that plays the same. Waited for years to find one with the right tone. Love it!
Carly
we inherited one from my father in law but sadly its not my thing at all. I appreciate the attraction but it's not really me, i'm trying to off load it but Mitch is convinced its worth a mint as its about 150 years old so at the moment its in my way at the bottom of the stairs and deosn't like like it will be moving for quite some time.....
