Emma
Thanks. We still don't know anything yet. He's been transferred to a surgical ward and waiting for a consultant to tell him what's going on, so I doubt he'll be coming home tonight. Emma
Just phoned the hospital. Still don't know what's going on but the consultant is on the ward now doing his rounds. So hopefully will hear something soon. Had to phone Paul's work to let them know he's in hospital. Was not expecting his boss to ask me to phone him every morning to inform them if Paul's not coming into work as it's company policy. Although I agreed to it to keep them sweet, I thought that was a bit silly but hey ho.

Emma
Just heard that a specialist has come down from kings college hospital in central London and ordered an mri scan for Paul. He should be coming home today though. I'm going to drive down there in a bit and see him. Visiting starts at 2 pm.

Emma
He's back home now. Still sore and looking worse than he when he went in but at least he's home for now. They should be posting out a letter with the details of when he will have the mri scan and once they can see what's happening inside then they can plan their next course of action. SnowDogLove
Hopefully they can figure something out that doesn't involve surgery! It seems like that may be counterproductive. I hope he feels better soon!

Clare70
Oh Emma I'm so sorrry for you and the kids, I can't believe they didn't give him a scan there and then. Bloody NHS makes my blood boil! Sending lots of positive wishes to Paul.
Emma
A little update: it's been a couple of weeks now and Paul's still in pain and waiting for the MRI scan. We've been told that it can take 4-6 weeks and he's unable to return to work for at least that length of time. Not great because his company doesn't do sick pay and as I'm still off sick with my own nausea problems (which is improving bit by bit) then we're all a bit up the creek without a paddle. 2015 is definitely not shaping up to be our best year so far! robke
that is big bummer Emma...
Emma
It is. Paul's hounding the head office up at kings college hospital to try to hurry it up as the MRI is just the beginning. once they can see how much damage the adhesions are causing, they'll need to do something about it and then of course there's the recovery time afterwards. This could drag on for months and the longer it takes for the scan the longer he's in pain and the more damage can be done. Feeling a bit frustrated. robke
I bet you and Paul are frustrated...but listen it is your health that you need to think about as well all the rest can and will fall into place

Clare70
That's outrageous, 4-6 weeks? I think I would be calling them everyday, explain how much pain he's in, no sick pay etc. Contact your local MP too. X
Emma
Thanks Clare, yeah even the GP agreed that the wait was rediculous. He's phoning them everyday atm but not getting anywhere fast.
