Dan
So, apparently mid year the Asia-Pacific MTSAT-2 satellite will be going out of service to make way for a new one. It has provided a few test images already, and they're absolutely stunning. The largest image can be found here (very large image, 23MB): http://www.jma-net.go.jp/…/himawari8_first_i…/trc/trc_LL.jpg And that isn't even the full resolution. You can literally pick a single cloud over your area. And apparently it'll update every 10 minutes. I've attached a smaller version just so you can see how awesome it looks, but I'd highly recommend checking out the high res link above if you've got the bandwidth. Words cannot describe how keen I am for this to come online Edited March 16, 2015 by Dan
