Sashagirl
Do you trim the hair on your dogs paws? The hair that sticks out between the pads? I live in Florida, so no need to protect against the snow. All it does is track more dirt in the house. I want to do it, but I'm afraid she won't be happy about it and move while I'm trimming. Anyone have any suggestions?
Sarah
I think my boys would run a mile if i tried too lol. Some people do though with success
BingBlaze n Skyla
I've never trimmed the fur on my 2 , is she ok with u playing with her feet? If not I'd get her used to that first n then work up to scissors
Sashagirl
Oh yeah, she's fine with me messing with her feet. When it's wet outside I have to wipe them off when they are loaded with dirt, so she's used to it! And she's fine with nail clipping too. BingBlaze n Skyla
She'll probably be fine with it then :-)
Jay
I sometimes trim theirs except for Kodiak, he hates it lol. Since we have harsh winters I only trim them in the spring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lisa n Skye
i trim Skyes, i use the mikki ear and face scissors to do them tho as there small and the edges are curved. As if the dog chooses to move and you have pointy scissors you could cause an injury to the dog, so i find the mikki ear and face scissors better for the job. Doesn't matter how nicely your dog lays down for you to clip the claws or cut the fur between the pads, something could disturb them or they might get impatient. When i did dog grooming at college they said to trim the fur level with the pads, so i always have since. Take your time to get the dog used to it tho, treats can help during and after the grooming session.

Austinville
I've never trimmed my girls. Usually, because of all the walking and scootering we don't have an issue with hair or their nails. On my old man, I had to trim as he aged because he wasn't getting the exercise needed to remove the hair/trim the nails naturally.
