ange828
Why do some Siberian huskies have noses that are part pink and part black? What is the reasoning for this?
BingBlaze n Skyla
It's called snow nose n is just a change in pigmentation over the colder months , some stay pink whilst others go back to black , it's totally normal :-)
Jay
the two I have had from pups have had changed to their nose. Yukon started out with a black nose with some pink it in, then it went all black, and then after a few months went flesh colored. Nikkos nose is all black, but in the winter it gets some pink in it. It's from lack of sunlight usually, the pigment changes

michelle12
Lobo is almost 2 and last winter his nose turned about 50% pink but back to black by late spring. This year is turned about 75% pink and so far hasn't really returned to black. We had a cold winter and spring has been rather cold also so not sure if that is a factor. Rachel Kay Scroggins
Duke's nose is a very dark black and has never changed. I think it has something to do with our winters being rather mild in Alabama. My parents have a Yorkie Poo who did get a snow nose this year and it never went back. So I guess it just depends on the dog. I like Duke's black nose, since his face is so dark.
