HuskyLucy
Lucys nails started bleeding at the tips today it looks like they have worn down to the pink and there's no white left. I have never cut her nails as they wear down on a walk on their own however it seems like they have worn down too much. Have I walked her too much? And what can I do about it? My vets want 50 quid for a consultation to tell me what's wrong but I'm pretty sure they can't grow her nails back. I don't want to pay 50 quid to be told to keep her in the house for a bit and walk her less. Thanks
BingBlaze n Skyla
Get some dog boots ( not the horrible dress up ones) when skyla sliced her pad open I used dog boots on walks to help protect it
NOBELHOWLUC49
Rest up for a couple of days whilst the dog boots are on order. Mean time just try to keep clean. Hope they grow quickly.
Jay
Yeah, I would just keep her inside for a couple days, and get some booties to walk in. How much walking does she get? Maybe try walking her in grassy areas instead.
Mazz
Sugar, of all things, will help stop the bleeding. Just put some into a small dish or onto a paper towel, and set the bleeding nail into the sugar for a short while. Some also use corn starch mixed with a bit of sugar.
