michelle12
Last night Lobo was out in the yard for a while. When I went to bring him in I saw he had something in his mouth. He dropped it and I went to check it out and saw a long tail (yuck) and went in to get my husband. He came out and said it's a young opossum and it was dead. I have no idea where/how he got it. It's the first critter I know of that he's killed. He has a rabies shot, is there anything else I need to be worried about? He seems fine, no visible injuries or anything. Although I am not a fan of opossum, I am not loving that he killed one. Edited July 8, 2015 by michelle12
robke
If he has eaten any of it just make sure his worming is up to date and keep an eye out for fleas just in case...
Emma
Did he definitely kill it himself? If you can't be sure then keep an eye on him for any signs of illness as we don't know what caused the opossum to die.
jones81381
Are you even sure it was actually dead? It's not called "playing possum" for nothing.
