Jade&Vale
Hi everyone! My name is Jade and I just recently got my Siberan Husky. Her name is Vale and I got her from a breeder in the Outerbanks of North Carolina. Any tips or tricks you guys can think of that I should know? This is my first time owning a Husky and I've come to realize how much personality she has! Also if anyone in the Raleigh or Charlotte area has a husky and wants to meet up that would be great. I need a way to burn her energy.

jmscott
· Hidden Hidden You don't want to wear out a puppy that young with a ton of exercise. Free play and lots of rest are best for a growing structure. It looks like you may have a woolly. You will want to look into grooming techniques for a longer coated breed like collies. You are more likely to have mats than a pup with a correct coat. Also NEVER cut/shave/trim/or furminate! This will damage the coat! This breed is prone to eye issues so you will want to be sure both parents have OFA certifications (www.offa.org) - and hips done too! Here are some good sites to look at for information on the breed and training. http://www.mikulov.org/links/analysis.htm http://suzanneclothier.com/articles http://www.patriciamcconnell.com/reading-room https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_BEXER4lGo http://www.baltostruestory.net/ (Audio warning!) http://www.clickertraining.com/ Link to comment
Mazz
Welcome to the wonderful world oh being a Husky parent. I'm not seeing enough of your dog in the pic, to see any sign of wooly condition. I do, however, think Vale has a beautiful mask.
Jade&Vale
That you guys so much! He's a better picture of her quote. I've had dogs before but they've been lower energy breeds.
momofallboys
Pretty!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I have a wooly guy and he loves being groomed. I brush him daily, really focusing behind the ears. Tails and under carriage of the dog. I also use a spray that goes on a dry coat, that you brush after spraying. It helps condition his fur and leaves him smelling like heaven! I also use a damp cloth to wash his face and hands in the evening.
