Siberian Husky types

This is actually pretty inaccurate and misleading. I see a lot of pet owner think they have a racing dog from this diagram when really they have a pet bred dog.

The "show type" is represented by a very heavy dog, with poor conformation and very unlike most dogs coming from a conformation background (ALL Siberians should fit within the breed standard, its not for show dogs!)

The "working type" shown is just a correct-ish Sibe. This dog could be a Ch. It shouldn't make a difference.

The "Sprint type" is an example of how extremes in breeding happen on both side of the scale.

However, to reiterate, a dog fitting within the looks of these categories does not make them OF that category. A working-bred siberian has actively working parents. A show-type has parents actively competing in shows, and the sprint type can be found entered in short distance sled dog races.

This is a conformation bred sibe.
