Petrichor 

Let's see if anyone knows what the definition may be.

Well, I had never heard the word before.  My son brought it up in a conversation yesterday.  It was raining outside.  He said, "Petrichor is taking place."  So, I asked him what he meant.  "Smell the rain?", he said.  I responded in the affirmative.  "That's petrichor.", he said.
