Meet Lancelot!

Hi all!

I just found this forum and decided I needed to be a part of it. Myself and my boyfriend rescued a Husky from a kill shelter about a month ago. His name given was Lancelot (Lance for short) and is estimated to be 1-2 years old. I've had many different dog breeds in the past and grew up on a farm, however I am new to the Husky world! He has a 6 year old neutered Maltese as a brother, loves being loved on, cuddles, and of course, RUNNING!

A bit about me: I am currently a full time college student that also works part time. I live in north Texas, but my career aspirations should *HOPEFULLY* have me in a state like Colorado or Utah in the next five years. I am a yogi, lover of research, habitual tea drinker, and lover of being outdoors. I was diagnosed with anxiety while still very young, and depression diagnosis came shortly after. That being said, I took an unusual approach to finding an Emotional Support Animal and decided to adopt a dog from a kill shelter - that way we would both be helping each other and "rescuing" each other. If Lance ultimately does not meet all the behavioral requirements for being an ESA (a chance I was more than aware of before adopting) I will love him just the same. A title does not define a being!

I attached a few photos of Lancelot so perhaps I can get some opinions on him! He was about 43.7 pounds when I got him from the shelter and he's believe to be a purebreed. I cannot see any other dog breed in him, however. I don't care if he's a pure breed, love him just the way he is! <3 Knowing his origins would assist in training, though!

Also, I know there's already threads started for this purpose, but since I'm new, please feel free to show off your furbabies in the comments. I'd love to see photos of a Husky and his tiny dog comrades, if there are any owners of both big and small dogs!

Welcome Madison. Lancelot is a looker.  Kudos for giving him a home by getting him out of the shelter.  Puppies are nice, but rescues rare great.

Hello Madison and Lancelot! I've had my Miss Mya since she was 7 weeks old....she is now 4 1/2 months.  I love her dearly! She is my first Husky/malamute as well. She is our only pup. I'm loving this forum and so glad I found it. I am a tea drinker myself...iced only...unsweetened unless you want to put some pomegranate in there ;)
