Andy
Roughly. . .at what age does an average Husky stop growing. . . Koda is 16 weeks and we bumped into an 18 month Malamute in Pets at Home the other day and Koda was three quarters the size of the Mal already. Just trying to get an idea of how big she's gonna be. I've added a piccy of Koda n Echo (our 2 year old GSD) for comparison. Thanx in advance for info and advice. . .
BingBlaze n Skyla
they will grow till they are 18 months but will slow down drematically at 12 months age - malamutes r huge in comparison we met a female mal who was 12 months old - blaze was 14 months and she was HUGE compared 2 him

Sid_Wolf
Kira was a large pup, but is normal size now at 13 months
raindog
Assuming your Shepherd is normal sized, the Malamute must have been tiny! We once bred a litter in which one of the bitches was almost three times the size of the others at birth. Because of this we called her "Monster." By the time she was six months, the others had caught up and Monnie was the smallest of all the littermates. Twelve years on, Monnie is still going strong and a normal sized dog. (Abnormally gets on well with cats though!!!) Mick
Kells xx
the mal was smaller than the gsd pictured and yes echo (gsd) is normal sized, how big do you think koda (husky) will be in comparison to echo

Kells xx
we would love to rehome a mal or a husky but echo dictates that they must be young......... as she really doesnt like adult dogs thats what you get with some rescue dogs though bless her
