I see a large number of images of dogs with REDEYE.

for PC-Windows users you can fix this very fast.

Double click on the image.-this will open the image in "Windows Photo Gallery"

Click "Fix" (image of a pencil and landscape) at the top of the page. -this will open a toolbar on the right hand side.

(toolbox)

Click "Fix Red Eye" - then crop a box over each eye that is red.

Windows will save the changes for you.

Two quick crops and your image will look much better.

This is the finished product. No red eye!

Thanks for the info Seth.

If you could provide info such as :-

What version of windows you use. . .

XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc

and what version of that O.S. Home, Premium, Ultimate / SP1-3 etc

Then other users on the forum may have an idea as to whether they have the image editing software you are using.

I run Win7 Premium and I cannot find Windows Photo Gallery as a native piece of Microsoft provided software anywhere on my system.

I would suspect that the vast majority of people on the Forum are running XP, and I can't remember it being on there either.

For those that this helps. . .

Thank you.

Just for the record. . . Red eye bugs me too biggrin.gif

Time to upgrade

This was done on vista

W7 should have it. I would look for it but my Windows7 computer needs a new waterpump.

I took the images with nikon d3000 digital SLR and I still get red eye

same thing with my Sony 1080i cybor shot : (

I disliked Vista with a knife wielding psychopathic vengance. . .th_Jttesur.gif

looks like Windows Photo gallery was one of the top heavy resource hogging bits they got rid of when they streamlined for Win 7.
